ELECTRIC FENCING
The electric fences can be linked to existing alarm systems, allowing for integration of one’s security systems: should there be an attempt in tampering with the fence, your alarm siren goes off, alerting you and your surroundings of a potential threat. We provide free standing and wall top solutions with various accessories that allow for maximum safety. These accessories include control key pads, flashing lights, multi-zone energizers and stainless steel / galvanized products. We also offer hassle-free maintenance contracts for larger applications.
INTERCOM SYSTEMS
We offer a range of reliable intercoms meant for businesses, homes and function perfectly for schools. We supply GSM or video/audio intercoms made by trusted manufacturers. We offer a well-structured and sophisticated access control system that virtually not a single individual can bypass. AfriTech Security installs the device and trains you and your staff free of charge, so you can use the access control system to its optimum performance.
ALARM SYSTEM
Maintain the safety of your premises by an accurate alarm system that alerts you in the event of an unauthorised entry being detected. Once you have made access restrictions on certain areas that should be kept clear in your absence, track and take control of the situation even when you are not physically present. This option saves time, money and guarantees you immense relief with high-tech equipment.
GATE & GARAGE AUTOMATION
Apart from the fact that gate and garage automation saves an abundance of time and effort, the safety factor singlehandedly outweighs its convenience. Now you don’t have to leave your home, building or vehicle unattended to ensure your gates and doors are locked and secure. A modern and high specification automation system, that we supply and install, ensures longevity and a broader control radius for heightened accessibility.
SCHOOL INTERCOM SYSTEMS
School intercom systems are our specialty: we service, maintain and install two types of school intercoms throughout the whole of South Africa. We are based in Midrand and will travel or supply where needed. We do full installations, ranging from basic sirens for sports fields and school bells to a full school intercom system. We also do in addition to your current school intercom system as you extend and add more classrooms. We have technicians that have been servicing and installing the local micro-sound systems for many years and will gladly assist with any problems you may be experiencing.
SWITCH PANEL INTERCOM
The first system, is a switch panel type school intercom, either mounted on the wall or placed upon a desk. The panel can call or be called from the classroom via a substation speaker. The panel is made in sizes of 20, 40 or 60 switches and can call all the classes at the same time as well. We are able to add a public address system to these panels for outdoors. A timer is an optional extra that can be added easily and will allow the bells to ring throughout the day at programmed times. Please note: both of these school intercom types require cables from the master control in the office to each of the substation speakers in the classrooms.
MASTER STATION INTERCOM
The second school intercom system (pictured below), is a bit larger with a capacity of up to 72 substations or 120 depending upon your needs. It can have bells and a public address system connected. This system has more advanced features such as multiple keypad master stations for the headmaster, receptionist, staff room and HOD, for example. The system also has evacuation bell sounds included. This school intercom system is generally used in the larger schools and offers a wider range of features such as multiple digital master station keypads and grouping. For exam times, we can switch off the hall speaker when required.
SMART BOARDS
Smart Boards are now a new feature in classrooms replacing the old chalk boards – contact our sales team for pricing and installation costs.
We offer the following Fire Safety services:
CO2 FIRE EXTINGUISHERS
The CO2 Fire Extinguisher is used for class B and C fires. They contain carbon dioxide, a non-flammable gas and are highly pressurised. The pressure is so great that is it not uncommon for bits of dry ice to shoot out the nozzle. These extinguishers do not leave a harmful residue, making it an excellent choice for an electrical fire on a computer or other electronic devices.
DRY CHEMICAL POWDER FIRE EXTINGUISHERS
The AfriTech DCP Fire Extinguisher comes in variety of sizes and is suitable for a combination of class A, B and C fires. They are filled with foam or powder and pressurized with nitrogen, leaving a non-flammable substance on the extinguished material, reducing the likelihood of re-igniting. Operating heads are of brass with either zinc or chrome plating; steel epoxy-coated carrying handle and discharge lever, fitted with safety relief valve and pressure gauge. Extinguishers of 4kg and bigger are fitted with a high pressure discharge hose and discharge nozzle.
FIRE HOSE REELS
The AfriTech 30m Fire Hose Reel is provides a reasonably accessible and controlled supply of water to combat a potential fire risk. They are designed to deliver, as a minimum, 30l of water per minute at a standard pressure of 300kPa. The length of the jet is 10m as a standard pressure. A control nozzle is attached to the end of the hose and enables the operator to control the direction and flow of water to the fire.
FIRE ALARM AND DETECTION SYSTEMS
AfriTech Fire and Security design and install either networked or standalone fire detection and alarm systems for small, large, single or multiple sites. In addition, fire extinguishing systems can be integrated into fire detection or alarm systems for added security measure.
